Chapter 10 updates

Dan Day says the auction at the rally in Galveston was so successful that we had to take less than $100.00 from our treasury to pay for everything.
Your editor was there and it was such a great rally.  I love the ocean so much.  I've been wanting to see those tree sculptures created after the oak trees died from hurricane Ike.  I have a lady friend in Hitchcock who came over to the campground and took 2 of us into Galveston and we saw all of them using the map from the C of C.  I have many pictures, I'll post some on here for everyone to see.  It's really worth the time to do this.  We saw how the folks are recovering from that hurricane.  There's still a lot of rebuilding going on.
There is a lot of good food in Galveston, we tried out several places.  Attended the movie on the great hurricane that killed so many folks.  Others took the tour of the oil rig and/or the schooner.  Moody Gardens is always a treat and it was special for us as we went on Tuesday when admissions are $5.00 per person.
We are talking about where the next rally will be.  I'll get Carolee to add a post to this as soon as she and committee decide where we will go in the spring.
