Spring 2024 Rally Apr 11-24

 Hi everyone!

Looks like we’ll be going to Brushy Creek Park this spring for our rally. It’s on Lake of the Pines, and is a corp of engineers park, so good prices. We will center things on the 200-221 site numbers, so go to recreation.gov as soon as possible and get a site reserved. The dates are April 11-14, 2024.
Most of the activities will be in Jefferson, which has an amazing history! The only 2 regular hotels I saw were Executive Inn and OYO. There are lots of B&Bs and antique hotels. Excelsior Hotel was the only nonprofit one. Each room has a different price.
I’ll let you know more about it after Thanksgiving.
Have a good holiday!

Chapter 10 Lunch 12 May 2023

 Chapter 10 Lunch

We had 48 people at lunch yesterday. I was very happy that everyone that showed up had made reservations. This allowed the restaurant to be prepared for this large group. Room for improvement but much better than our February lunch where we overwhelmed them with more people than we had told them would come.

We elected a new treasurer Bob Laban who replaced Kathy Metzger who had served for four years.

Our next meeting will be at the same location. The June 2023 lunch will be Friday, June 9, 2023 at 1 p.m. at:

Southern Peach restaurant previously called Long Branch Steakhouse restaurant.
